Lori Searcy

Lori is Treasurer and a co-founder of 1159 South.  She grew up in southwest Springfield, Ohio and has a passion for the community. She attended Fulton Elementary, Keifer Junior High, and graduated from Springfield South High School in 1980.  She is a seven-year veteran of the U.S. Army, holds a B.A degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland, and a law degree, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center.

Ms. Searcy has worked in government budgeting, the private sector, and she founded and operated a successful complex business, civil rights, and employment discrimination law firm for more than a decade.  She has received several awards for her pro bono work addressing race, disability and age discrimination.  Ms. Searcy is semi-retired from her law practice.  She manages 1159 South’s operations on a full-time volunteer basis.
